P90X-Week 4
Welcome to week four in PhitZone’s P90X review.
I hate excuses. They serve no purpose. The following is not meant as an excuse, but I want to explain what’s going on.
Bottom line, work and family demands have kept me from working out at my usual time (right after work). I could have done it later in the evening, but that just didn’t happen.
I owe you (and myself) all of the workouts for last week of phase one. My pledge to you (and myself), is that I will do all of week number four next week.
Yoga X
Who here thinks that yoga is just posing, so how hard can it be? I was one of these people.
This stuff is hard. It is a workout-and-a-half. I’ve done some difficult training. 90 minutes of Yoga X will whoop your butt. I promise.
In fact, the length of the video is my only complaint. 90 minutes is a LONG time for this stuff.
One of the things that I enjoy about this workout is that they offer modifications to poses. These are for those of us that just don’t bend or fold so easily.
Tony Horton is also pretty good about letting you know that if you need a rest, take it. That doesn’t mean to go sit down and watch t.v. while eating a cheeseburger. It does mean to stand up and stretch, get a drink of water, and then get right back to it.
Actually, that’s a constant theme throughout all of the videos.

the 90 minutes of Yoga X IS a long time. The first 45 minutes make me crazy for the updog-downdog constant repetition, but its definitely worth the effort to do it.
Tony in the Happy Baby pose kills my concentration every time because I start laughing. Too funny!

Bry, I agree. The first 45 is very repetitious. It’s a difficult workout, but it’s an awesome workout.
Agreed about the Happy Baby pose. It is funny.
